How to Disable Fire Spread on your Minecraft Server
In this tutorial we will show you how to Disable or Enable Fire spread on your Minecraft server. This is great to prevent forests being burnt down or that annoying friend who keeps burning down your wooden house.
- Head over to your server Console or enter into your Minecraft Server.
- Enter the command
/gamerule doFireTick false
(ensuring to keep the upper case letters). This'll disable fire from spreading. Similarily do/gamerule doFireTick true
to allow fire to spread again. Please note that these commands are case sensitive. -
That's it! Players can now create cool builds with fire without it actually having any affect on surrounding blocks. An example can be seen in the image below, where the fire is not spreading to the neighbouring log blocks.
